When I first moved to California, the idea of eating avocado was revolting to me. They were the most foreign thing ever.
Fast forward 13 years and they are definitely a part of my diet at least once a week and I’m always trying to find ways to integrate them into meals.
At first it may sound weird to include avocado in a dessert, but I assure you – it’s worth trying! This recipe is even better because it’s a vegan dessert and it includes something we all crave from time to time – CHOCOLATE!
Avocado Chocolate Mousse with Strawberries
Ingredients
- 2 big Avocados, ripened
- 1/2 cup agave nectar
- 1/2 cup Hershey’s chocolate syrup (or you can melt semi sweet chocolate chips, but this is easier!)
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/3 cup almond milk
- a dash of vanilla extract
- organic strawberries
Directions
- Combine all of the ingredients except for the strawberries in a food processor until smooth
- Spoon into ramekins or serving bowls
- Chill for a few hours (or overnight) in refrigerator
- Garnish with strawberries
- Enjoy.
