Ralph Waldo Emerson.

(The other day, I was walking with a friend near Ralph Waldo Elementary School in Burbank, CA. I commented that it is a funny name for an elementary school, and he agreed, because he could not remember who Ralph Waldo Emerson was.

I made a crack about how I love “Ralphie,” how he was a great writer from Massachuetts, and then I felt instantly dorky.
