New song By 3: “React”

I couldn’t wait to get home to hear this song today, when I saw the news on the prp.

Regardless of my mixed feelings about metalsucks’ recent comments on Spotify/Century Media (& apparently Prosthetic & Metal Blade too, now? I’m behind on my music industry news because of how much work I’ve been doing the last few weeks), I’m thankful that I can hear “React” on their site!

Pre-Order 3’s “The Ghost You Gave to Me”

This band, “3” has neverending amounts of talent, especially frontman Joey Eppard. The guy can shred on the guitar like nobody I’ve ever seen and sing (like, really use his full voice sing) at the same time, almost effortlessly. He is the definition of MUSICIAN.

The last time I saw them, I shoved my way forward at the Troubadour and just stood below him, mesmorized by what I was seeing in front of me.

I’ve always been a bit dissapointed that they weren’t given more recognition or had more widespread promotion from their label, but at the same time, it’s been nice since I have been able to see them in two teeny venues (the Knitting Factory & The Troub).

One thing I love about this band is that they are definitely accessible to a wider audience…If you have a chance, go check out some of their older stuff. “Wake Pig” is a FANTASTIC album, and some of Joey’s older solo stuff off “paint by numbers” will appeal to people who aren’t metal fans (I’m talking to you, friends who like bluegrass…)
